Indian skipper Rohit Sharma did not play in the fifth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He decided to keep himself out of the playing XI. A lot of people and Bollywood celebrities reacted to this decision of Rohit, where Vidya Balan is also one of those who reacted. However, when Vidya posted her reaction on her social media account, people started sarcastically trolling her.
Vidya Balan went on to her official X account and made a post that read, “Rohit Sharma, what a superstar!! It takes courage to pause and take a break… more strength to you… respect!!”
even though Vidya made this tweet in order to support Rohit, her tweet backfired as fans on social media did not like this tweet, and hence started trolling her.

One of the user even went and called her out as a washed-out actress, adding that she is now working as the PR of a cricketer.
