Ariana Grande Says She's 'Still Clean' After Joking About Using Botox, Explains Why She'll Tell Fans if She Uses Injectables Again

Ariana Grande jokingly thanked her “good friends Botox and Juvederm” while accepting a “Rising Star” award at the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival. But now she’s making it clear that it was just a joke!

The 31-yaer-old actress poked fun at her age while onstage at the awards ceremony, where she was honored for her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked.

“I want to start by thanking my good friends Botox and Juvederm,” she said, noting that she expected to be called a “Slightly Withering Star or Drooping Star by now.”

In an interview after the fact, Ariana clarified that she has not actually used injectables like Botox in years. She explained why she felt that it was important to be honest with fans about the topic.

Ariana laughed during an interview with ET when the host joked that they were also a rising star due to their use of Botox.

“My joke,” she replied, adding, “I’m still clean.”

In fact, it’s been four years since she used an injectable.

“When I start going again, I’ll let you know. I mean it,” she said. “I really want to be transparent as a beauty founder. As the founder of REM Beauty, I think it’s important to have transparency.”

She continued, noting that you can see the lines on her face, and she “love[s] them.”
