'You can run but you can't hide': DOJ lawyer resigns and immediately gets threat from MAGA

A Department of Justice attorney resigned from his post, and was immediately targeted by a Donald Trump legal ally.

Trump and his team are reportedly looking for retribution specifically against Jay Bratt, the counterintelligence chief within the Justice Department's national security division. But Bratt has now reportedly resigned.

That won't insulate him from becoming a target, according to former GOP staffer Mike Davis, who has made headlines for his social media comments in the past, and was rumored to be on Trump's list for attorney general.

Davis flagged a report from SpyTalk, which states that Bratt resigned his post.

"You can run, Jay Bratt. But you can’t hide. You’re the biggest snake of them all," Davis wrote Sunday. "You orchestrated the illegal Mar-a-Lago raid."

Davis added, "To coverup Crossfire Hurricane—the biggest scandal in American history. Justice is coming. Nobody is above the law. Lawyer up, buttercup."

Self-proclaimed "J6 conspiracy theorist" Julie Kelly weighed in, saying, "Rats are trying to flee the sinking ship."

"This comes the day after Pres Trump announced Stanley Woodward, who Bratt threatened in the classified documents case that Bratt spearheaded, will be a top legal advisor in Trump White House," Kelly added.

In a follow-up post, Kelly said, "Jay Bratt was in cahoots with the Biden White House."

"Trump welcomed Bratt to Mar a Lago in June 2022—along with 3 FBI agents—to look for more 'classified documents.' Despite that cooperation, Bratt pushed for an armed raid of Mar a Lago, which happened on August 8, 2022," she added.
