Demi Moore ‘clearly’ ignored Kylie Jenner in new Golden Globes snubbing drama

Demi Moore was understandably caught up in the excitement of her first-time win at the Golden Globes Sunday night.

But amid her excitement, “The Substance” star inadvertently set off another viral moment involving Kylie Jenner at the Golden Globes, when social media users said she “clearly” snubbed the Kardashian family member as she rushed to chat with Jenner’s date, Timotheé Chalamet, and his “A Complete Unknown” co-stars Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro.

In a TIkTok clip of the behind-the-scenes moment, the 62-year-old screen legend is seen approaching Fanning at the “A Complete Unknown” table. Moore and Fanning gush over Moore’s triumph, as she appears to completely ignore Jenner, who tries to join in the conversation.

Jenner is seen saying “congrats!” to Moore, who briefly says “thank you” before continuing her conversation with Fanning, the Daily Mail reported.

Jenner appears to look crestfallen before she gives up and turns back to Chalamet. But to make matters worse, Moore continues to bypass Jenner as she goes over to Chalamet, who grasps her hand and offers his congratulations.

Social media users were left with a mix of wild reactions to Moore’s Jenner “snub,” according to the Daily Mail and Page Six. Some delighted in watching the influencer from the polarizing Kardashian family feel less-than-welcome at an awards ceremony honoring genuine artistic talent.

On TikTok, one person said, “Kylie thought she was the next one to get a hug but nope not today!! not everyone idolizes the Kardashians!! love it!!!”

“Kylie getting ignored makes me want to watch the Golden Globes,” another person quipped, the Daily Mail reported. Yet another said, “I feel so bad for Kylie everyone there seems like they have zero interest in having a conversation with her lol.”

But Page Six quoted one person who said, “Poor Kylie,” and another who lamented, “That was so messed up.“

But still another person, quoted by Page Six, defended Moore and said, “Idk I don’t think it’s that deep, I think she was just talking to the ‘actors,’ and she acknowledged Kylie.”

Representatives for Moore and Jenner did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

Whatever Moore’s intention, the “snubbing” drama follows Jenner’s attempt, with a Halloween Instagram post, to channel Moore’s famous nude pose for the poster for her 1996 film “Striptease,” Page Six reported.

Sunday’s incident with Moore also is the second time that Jenner has been involved in an awkward viral moment while accompanying her boyfriend Chalamet to the Golden Globes.

At the 2024 awards ceremony, she and Chalamet were a hot new couple, and internet sleuths theorized that Jenner waved off Selena Gomez when Gomez asked Chalamet to take a picture with them.

This theory was based on behind-the-scenes video clips of Gomez rushing over to Taylor Swift’s table to share some hot gossip with her and model Keleigh Sperry. Professional lip readers, hired by gossip sites, insisted that Gomez was telling Swift and Sperry, “He didn’t want a picture with me. He said no.”

Chalamet subsequently dismissed the idea that his girlfriend snubbed Gomez. When a reporter for TMZ spotted the “Willy Wonka” star walking in Beverly Hills, the reporter rushed up to ask him if Jenner and Gomez had any conflicts.

Chalamet quickly responded “no.” When asked if he and Gomez were “cool,” Chalamet said, “Yeah, of course,” then tried to walk off.
