GJC urges Union Finance Minister to cut GST on gems and jewellery; seek concessions for lab-grown diamonds

The All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) has requested the Union Finance Minister to reduce GST on gems and jewellery from 3% to 1% and introduce a concessional rate for lab-grown diamonds. They also urged the government to establish state-wise nodal offices and appoint a Central Minister for the sector.
