Chinese-owned ship ‘goes dark’ after incident off Taiwan

TAIPEI - A Chinese-owned cargo ship suspected of damaging a subsea telecoms cable off Taiwan has stopped transmitting its location on the high seas, Taiwan’s coast guard said on Tuesday.
