CBBC star calls for iconic kids TV show to be rebooted by bosses over 20 years later following success of The Traitors
A CBBC star called on bosses to reboot his legendary kids TV show following The Traitors’ huge success.
The Traitors has been a smash hit for the BBC since launching back in 2022.

James Mackenzie both hosted and played the title role – an immortal Scottish warlord.
Taking to X, the star shared side-by-side snaps of The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman and himself as Raven.
He captioned: “Come on @bbcpress if there was ever a time for Raven 3.0 it’s now!! Letthechallengebegin.”
After the original run, Aisha Toussaint took up the Raven mantle from 2017 to 2018.
Fans soon got behind James’ idea, sharing comments underneath his post.
One wrote: “I’d definitely give that a watch!!”
Another added: “Bring back our childhood show.”
A third chimed in: “Only if you (and only you) do it. There is only one Raven after all.”
While a fourth suggested: “They should bring you in to host a Raven themed challenge on the traitors!”
Since leaving Raven in 2010, James has also starred in Scottish soap River City – and even filmed a scene in raunchy historical drama Outlander.
The actor told fans: “I was beaten to within an inch of my life in Outlander and left for dead after being dragged by a horse through a forest.
“And yes, I did actually have to be dragged by a horse.
“We filmed it in the woods near Callander in Perthshire, which was doubling for the wilds of North America.”
Last year, he landed a new role worlds away from his time in the CBBC series.
It was reported that he would play Abanazar in a kids’ panto about Aladdin.
In a twist from heroic Raven, the character is the Sultan’s twisted advisor, and baddie of the show.
The Traitors is available to watch on BBC One and iPlayer.
