Jennifer Lopez's 'Unstoppable' & Blumhouse's 'Wolf Man' Premieres Canceled Amid Los Angeles Wildfire
The Los Angeles wildfire in the Pacific Palisades is closing down movie premieres due to safety!
Jennifer Lopez and Jharrel Jerome‘s Unstoppable was to hold a red carpet and screening in West Hollywood on Tuesday night (January 7), but that has been canceled.
In addition, the upcoming Universal / Blumhouse horror film Wolf Man was also set to have a premiere on Tuesday and it has been canceled due to the wildfire.

The fire has been spreading with severe winds in the area, and homes in the foothills received evacuation orders on Tuesday morning.
“In light of today’s safety concerns around heightened wind activity and fire outbreaks in Los Angeles, we regret to inform you that we are cancelling tonight’s premiere of ‘Unstoppable,’” an Amazon MGM Studios rep shared in a statement, via Variety. “As much as we were looking forward to celebrating this wonderful and inspiring film with you, safety is our first priority. We encourage everyone to watch ‘Unstoppable’ on Prime Video, which will be available globally on January 16. Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe.”
“Unfortunately, tonight’s premiere of ‘Wolf Man’ is cancelled due to sensitivities around the worsening weather situation in LA and related evacuations,” a rep for Universal Studios said.
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles issued a warning on Monday (January 6).
“HEADS UP!!! A LIFE-THREATENING, DESTRUCTIVE, Widespread Windstorm is expected Tue afternoon-Weds morning across much of Ventura/LA Co. Areas not typically windy will be impacted. See graphic for areas of greatest concern. Stay indoors, away from windows, expect poweroutages. #LA” they wrote on X/Twitter.
