Lapland records Finland's coldest temperature this winter: -38.9°C
Finland experienced its coldest temperature of the winter early Wednesday morning, as the Tulppio weather station in eastern Lapland recorded a frigid -38.9°C. The reading, taken at 3:40am, marks the lowest temperature registered in the country so far this season.
The Tulppio station previously held this winter's cold record of -38.2°C, recorded on 16 December.
