Woman sexually assaulted after getting out of car to help man ‘lying on ground’ in lay-by – as cops hunt for attacker
A WOMAN has been sexually assaulted after getting out of her car to help a man “lying on the ground” in a lay-by.
The man launched his attack on the A47 at Brundall, in Norfolk at around 8.50pm on December 30.
He ambushed his victim after she spotted him lying on the ground and pulled over to offer assistance.
Cops are now hunting the suspect and urged anyone with information that could help the investigation to come forward.
Anyone with information about the incident or dash cam footage around the time is asked to contact Norfolk Constabulary referencing 36/1374/25.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage following a sexual assault on the A47 near Brundall.
“The incident happened on Monday 30 December at around 8.50pm when the victim, who was driving towards the Brundall roundabout, reported seeing a man lying on the ground in the lay-by.
“When she pulled into the lay-by to check on the man’s welfare he sexually assaulted her.
“Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has relevant dashcam footage from the area around this time.”
