Kylie Kelce is known for keeping it real, which is why we love her new podcast Not Gonna Lie so much. From a list of toys she refuses to keep in her home to how she likes immediately getting comfy when she finishes “outside the house responsibilities,” we can relate to everything this mom of three says. And now, Kylie is digging into another hot topic that should be required listening for pretty much everybody: how to talk to pregnant women.

“This week, baby girl has definitely popped,” Kylie, who is pregnant with her fourth girl with husband Jason Kelce, says in a clip from this week’s episode on Instagram. “So there’s no more hiding her. Stretchy pants are in full force, as is commentary from friends, family, and, of course, perfect strangers.” She shared a list of things not to ask pregnant women because “even if one less person asks me, ‘Don’t you wish it was a boy?!’ it’ll be a win.”

*Sigh* As someone who has been pregnant three times, I remember the commentary all too well, and I am so with Kylie on this.

Number one: “Don’t comment on her size.” Shout it from the rooftops! Whether you think her stomach is too big or you think it’s a compliment to say how small she looks, just keep it to yourself. One of my friends got praised for her tiny baby bump, but people didn’t know she was closely being monitored for intrauterine growth restriction and every comment made her worry even more. Some thoughts should remain inside thoughts, people!

“This includes comments like, ‘You’re huge!’, ‘How much weight have you gained?’, ‘Are you sure it’s not twins?’” Kylie shared. “I still can’t believe that people think that women who are building a human being want to hear anything about their size. Newsflash: they don’t. Cut that sh-t out.” Go off, queen! We couldn’t agree more.

Basically everyone agreed with her. “And on the flipside? Don’t suggest she doesn’t look pregnant or that there’s NO WAY she’s as far along as she is because she isn’t ‘big enough.’ EVERY. BODY. IS. DIFFERENT. Every PREGNANCY is different! Don’t comment on her body even you think it’s a compliment! Just ask her how she’s doing/feeling, and be supportive,” one person said.

Someone else suggested, “The only thing you should say about a pregnant woman’s appearance is: ‘You look so good/beautiful/incredible/radiant!’”

“A random lady came up to me and started rubbing my belly so I started rubbing hers and she got so mad. I told her I thought we were rubbing belly’s now. I hope I saved a future woman from her,” another said.

Back in July, Kylie slammed people who asked another type of invasive question: if she was pregnant.  “I have kept my mouth shut on this for quite some time now, and my lack of filter’s kicking in,” she said on TikTok. “I have had a number of articles written about me since the middle of last football season stating that I am pregnant.”

She was not pregnant at the time and added, “I cannot stand people writing such insensitive articles about such a sensitive topic. Really lights my fire.” Kylie, who is mom to daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 22 months, with Jason, revealed that she has experienced a miscarriage before her daughter Wyatt was born and had to have a D&C procedure to remove tissues from inside the uterus.

“I do not take getting pregnant or trying to get pregnant lightly,” she said, adding, “We need to just be in agreement that this is not a topic that anyone needs to be first on reporting. Let the parents say it when they’re good and ready.”

And now that she is pregnant, maybe just leave off on commenting anything about her body or baby at all.
