Accident on Thruway near Little Falls closes down section of I-90

LITTLE FALLS/HERKIMER, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- A motor vehicle accident has sent several ambulances to the Thruway in Little Falls and shut down a section of the New York State Thruway on Monday.

The New York State Thruway Authority has reported a crash at Milepost 213 on I-90 between exits 29A and 30. Severe weather conditions are believed to have caused the crash. The Thruway Authority has diverted all traffic to Exit 29A in Little Falls.

The extent of the accident is yet unconfirmed.

Currently, according to the Thruway Authority website, all lanes between Exit 29A and 30 are blocked and closed down until further notice.
