BHEL-TRSL Vande Sleeper project gains steam
Titagarh Rail Systems and BHEL launched a production line in Uttarpara, Kolkata, for Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains. The prototype is expected next year. This follows a contract for 80 train sets awarded by Indian Railways to the TRSL-BHEL consortium, valued at Rs 24,000 crore, including 35 years of maintenance.
