Indian airlines carried 1.45 cr passengers in March; 8.79 pc higher YoY: DGCA

Indian airlines experienced substantial growth in March 2025, transporting 1.45 crore passengers, marking an 8.79% increase compared to the previous year. IndiGo dominated the market, carrying 93.1 lakh passengers with a 64% market share, while the Air India Group transported 38.8 lakh passengers, securing a 26.7% share. IndiGo also led in on-time performance at 88.1% across major metro airports.
