Carnival to stop in Topeka for 11 days, what to know
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topekans who missed out on the carnival last week at West Ridge Mall will get another shot at taking part in the fun later this month.
The Stormont Vail Events Center will host the Evans United Shows Carnival from Thursday, May 22 through to Sunday, June 1 to help local families and friends celebrate the start of summer. More than 50 rides, plenty of games, carnival food and other attractions will be present for people to enjoy.
People who want to attend the carnival will need to make sure to bring plenty of money to use as it is a cash-only event. ATMs will be handy at the gate and on the midway.
The Evans United Shows Carnival will be open daily starting at 6 p.m. during the work week and 1 p.m. on the weekends. The carnival will open at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day.
People will need to purchase coupons to use the rides at the carnival. All rides take three or more coupons to use. Pricing for the carnival is below:
- Individual ride coupons - $1.25 each.
- Discount coupons - 20 coupons for $20.
- Super discount coupons - 50 coupons for $45.
- Armband specials - $30 per person. Allows people to ride an unlimited number of times during specific sessions while the carnival is in Topeka.
