Round 1
Referee Vitor Ribeiro on hand for the co-main event.
Harrison with a few probing strikes. Peña taking her time here. Nothing of significance landed in the opening minute. Harrison the aggressor, looking to cut off the cage.
There’s a takedown attempt from Harrison, well-defended by Peña as they crash to the cage. Peña blocks a trip. Harrison not letting up and she gets Peña down with plenty of time to work from side control.
She ends up in Peña’s half guard, then full guard. Harrison staying heavy on top. Peña firing shots from the bottom, Harrison answers with a ground-and-pound shot. Busy guard from Peña, but Harrison is sticking with a conservative game plan.
Wild kicks from the bottom by Peña and a blatantly illegal upkick lands. Those definitely hurt Harrison. Ribeiro breaks up the action and takes a point. Well done.
They end up back on the feet, so maybe it was worth it for Peña. She doesn’t have much time to work though and Harrison takes this round.

Straight left from Harrison, then an inside leg kick. Harrison backing Peña up. Kick to the body from Harrison. She closes the distance and takes Peña back to the fence. They fight for underhooks.
Level change from Harrison, but Peña defending well. Harrison methodical as she drags Peña down. Short elbow from Harrison. More ground-and-pound from the challenger. Peña slows the attack with a takedown attempt. Harrison with an elbow.
Peña working to stand but Harrison is smothering her and manuevering to Peña’s back. She pushes Peña back down. Harrison looking to pass half guard with a possible arm-triangle opportunity. Thirty seconds left.
Harrison bails on the submission attempt. She switches to a kimura and gets it! Peña taps!!! NEW CHAMP!
