These secret beaches in Oregon are among the best in the United States, survey says
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A recent survey reveals the best secret beaches in the United States, including an Oregon spot with "rising Instagram fame."
The survey, conducted in May by Canadian-based travel blog Frugal Flyer, surveyed over 3,000 locals to find the top 95 hidden beaches in the U.S.
"Everyone loves a good beach day, but not everyone loves the crowds, the parking wars, or the fight for a patch of sand," Frugal Flyer said. "This summer, something different is happening. Instead of heading to the usual hotspots, Americans are rediscovering the quiet charm of their local, quieter, lesser-known shores."

Snagging the fourth spot on the list: Secret Beach, Oregon.
"Found within Oregon’s Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor near Brookings, Secret Beach retains a magical charm despite its rising Instagram fame," Frugal Flyer said. "A short, steep trail leads to this cove, surrounded by towering sea cliffs and mossy forest. At low tide, sea caves and natural arches appear, making it a photographer’s haven, especially in the early morning when it’s often empty."
Other Pacific Northwest beaches on the list include Gold Beach, Oregon (16), Hole in the Wall Beach, Washington (40), Bandon State Natural Area, Oregon (50), Agate Beach, Oregon (92) and Sandpoint Beach, Washington (93).
Claiming the top spot on the best secret beach list is Awahua Beach, Hawaii, followed by Pa’ako Cover, Hawaii; Gray’s Beach, Hawaii; Secret Beach, Oregon and Shell Key Preserve, Florida.
