Whataburger Rolling Out Brand New Menu Item Starting July 1
Whataburger just announced the Prickly Pear Raspberry Whatafresher, which they describe as, “a vibrant, sun-soaked swirl with all the flair of the Southwest.” This is the first of the Whatafreshers, a line of premium beverages in what Whataburger is calling their “next wave of innovation.”
“Whatafreshers are artfully blended to deliver a full sensory experience – bold ingredients, radiant colors, and cooling revitalization all in one cup,” Debbie Stroud, CEO of Whataburger said.
Alongside the Prickly Pear Raspberry Whatafresher, Whataburger will also be introducing a new digital spokesperson. “Prepare for big smiles and even bigger sass from our fresh-faced digital spokesperson, making her social media debut in July. She’s got quick wit, killer style, and she’s arriving just in time to introduce the world to the Prickly Pear Raspberry Whatafresher. It’s the bold refreshment you didn’t know you needed—until now,” the announcement said.
Whataburger also announced their first-ever craft lemonade to debut alongside the Whatafresher. No details have officially emerged regarding the lemonade, but commenters on the r/Whataburger subreddit have shared inconsistent reports with one user claiming “It’s going to be freshly squeezed lemonade with different flavors. Just saw at Houston, Tx Whataburger and confirmed with manager,” while another wrote, “Just concentrate & water, no real lemons at all but it does taste better than the bib lemonade.”
The Prickly Pear Raspberry Whatafresher will be available at participating locations priced at $3.69 for the 16-ounce and $3.99 for the 20-ounce version. The announcement did not specify which locations will be participating.
