Internacional beats Botafogo in Brazil's Serie A

RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Alan Patrick and Vitinho scored either side of halftime as Internacional eased to a 2-0 home win over reigning champions Botafogo in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday.

Patrick opened the scoring in the ninth minute after goalkeeper Leo Linck parried Vitinho's cross into his path, allowing the midfielder to sweep in from close range.
