Opening date set for popular local fast-food joint in Ballston Spa
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Ballston Spa can get a taste of one of the Capital Region's well-liked meals from the sea starting in November. Ted's Fish Fry will open its new location at 2103 Doubleday Avenue on November 1.
The new store's hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. The new store's manager, Jon Fisher, has been in the fish fry business since the age of 14, as his mother, Sue, has been in the industry for 46 years.
"You could find Jon working at the Latham store in high school," Officials with Ted's Fish Fry said in a social media post. "He continued picking up shifts in Latham and Clifton Park throughout his professional career for 20 years."
Ted's Fish Fry has a seafood-forward menu, including the classic fish fry, fried shellfish, and clam rolls in addition to burgers, hot dogs, fries, and more. The restaurant celebrated 75 years in the Capital Region in 2024 and has six other locations in Albany, Colonie, Latham, Watervliet, Troy, and Halfmoon.
