Driver stopped over twice the speed limit on highway
At around 7am on Sunday, while traffic police were carrying out speed checks on the Limassol Nicosia highway near Kalavasos, a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old man was recorded moving at 222km/hr, over twice the limit of 100.
The driver was arrested, charged in writing and released while he will be taken to court on Monday to be sentenced.
