Dick Van Dyke is opening up about longevity.
The 99-year-old legendary actor spoke out recently about his career, as well as the key to his long life during a Vandy High Tea event at his home in Malibu, Calif.

“He was a wonderful guy. He just smoked too much! Doggone,” Dick said, via People.
His 74-year-old son, Barry Van Dyke, started to say his dad “never smoked too much.”
“I smoked a lot, actually!” Dick countered.
“I think I was probably in my 50s before it dawned on me that I had an addictive personality. If I liked something, I was going to overdo it.”
“So I got rid of booze and cigarettes and all that stuff, which is probably why I’m still here,” he went on to explain.
Dick will be turning 100 on December 13.
He also revealed his thoughts on the age gap between himself and his wife.
