TWICE: There seems to be a whole new level of energy and excitement coming from JEM Global ahead of next month’s CES. What’s going on?
Chemtob: As a company, JEM has never been in a better position at the start of a new year. We now have a significant and growing portfolio of organic and iconic American brands that are being re-imagined for a new generation of consumers. CES 2026 will mark the start of a yearlong new product rollout for many of these brands, including Aiwa, Armor All, Black & Decker, Energizer Connect, RCA, and Xtreme, among others.
TWICE: What do you envision for each of these brands?
Chemtob: Each one of the brands we own fits into a larger ecosystem that is designed to offer our retailers and partners an unprecedented opportunity for sales growth. Each brand represents specific lifestyle categories that can overlap to the benefit of our retailers and partners. We offer solutions in consumer electronic accessories, power, audio, and lighting. Together, these brands enable retailers to build entire sell-through strategies that will immediately resonate with customers because they all involve brands that they know and trust.
TWICE: In addition to developing your own brands, why do you use established brands?
Chemtob: America’s most trusted consumer brands didn’t become icons by accident. They earned it. Through innovation and performance, it created deep connections with generations of customers. Why would anyone walk away from these deep connections that created many memorable moments for consumers? Starting from scratch with a new brand is such an uphill battle, and our retail partners need brands and products that will immediately resonate with consumers.
TWICE: So, your goal is to help pre-sell the products for your retailers?
Chemtob: 100%. We want to offer proven brands that can be immediately turned into profit centers for our partners.
TWICE: Is that why JEM bought the license for RCA AV accessories and power products?
Chemtob: RCA represents a game-changer for the company and our partners. RCA is one of the most storied brands in the history of consumer electronics. Adding a new generation of cutting-edge consumer tech and lifestyle products that cut across multiple product categories will provide a huge boost to our retailers’ sales efforts.
TWICE: Why is that?
Chemtob: I can’t think of two other brands that resonate as deeply across multiple generations of consumers and across a range of home entertainment product categories. There is a huge reservoir of love for these brands that creates a halo effect for the industry. Believe me, we have a lot of exciting new ideas we are exploring for these iconic brands.
TWICE: Speaking of new products, do you source them from third-party suppliers?
Chemtob: When we first started out in 1999, we sourced some products that way, but now, after 26 years of experience, JEM is a global powerhouse with its own internal product development, engineering, manufacturing, and lifestyle-savvy marketing teams. We create everything in-house and then contract with manufacturers proven to have the expertise we are looking for in each instance.
TWICE: Can you give us a sneak peek at what to expect at CES 2026?
Chemtob: The addition of RCA to our brand portfolio is going to generate significant new revenue opportunities for our retailers and partners. Show attendees should make it a point to visit us at CES to learn more about what we have in store for RCA and all our brands. We have so many new concepts launching in 2026, including a “find my remote” feature for RCA remotes. Come to our booth to see more. We believe that what they learn will really excite them for the year ahead.
