Instagram Model Mia Sorety Makes New Claim Against Ex-Coach Sherrone Moore
A model named Mia Sorety is making a new accusation against former University of Michigan Coach Sherrone Moore.
Her allegation comes after a very bad 24 hours for Moore, 39, but it's hardly the most serious. In just a day:
- Moore was fired by the University of Michigan after credible evidence allegedly emerged that Moore had an "inappropriate relationship" with a staffer, who has not been named. The name of a Moore staffer has trended on social media, but it's not clear whether the woman trending is the staffer in question.
- Then, Moore was jailed in Washtenaw County, MI, and Pittsfield police released a statement saying that the subject was being held on an investigation into an alleged assault.
- Next, it emerged in the 911 dispatch audio that police were called to a staffer's home. The dispatcher in the call, which was obtained by TMZ and The New York Post, says that the woman claimed that Moore had allegedly attacked and stalked a woman, that he was suicidal, and that he had a knife. It's important to note that Moore has yet to publicly give his side because he's sitting in jail, and he has not been charged with anything at this point.
- Moore tweeted about attending a Sean "Diddy" Combs party in the past, The Post reported.
Now, the model and social media influencer named Mia Sorety alleged that Moore reached out to her and, according to The New York Post, "slid" into her DMs on Instagram. All things considered, that appears to be the least of the claims against him, but Moore is married, so it's not a good look, if true. Moore and his wife Kelli have three kids together. Moore has cultivated a public image focused on his family.

According to the New York Post, Moore is accused of following "dozens of other OnlyFans and Instagram models — and once attended a party thrown by Sean 'Diddy' Combs."
Sorety alleged in an X post, according to The Post: "I wasn't surprised he was all in my DMs trying to risk it all with an OF model." Sorety has 1.7 million followers on Instagram, where she is followed by at least one top celebrity: Snoop Dogg. The Post alleged that Sherrone follows many Instagram models. The Post story included a screenshot that shows Moore follows Sorety's Instagram page. Men's Journal confirmed on Moore's page that he follows the model. Moore follows 1,942 people on Instagram, in fairness, including many sports-related personalities and pages.
Sherrone Moore allegedly previously tweeted about attending a Diddy party, and that's getting some attention now, too. He tweeted about attending "wild, star-studded Kentucky Derby bashes in May 2018," The Post reported, although there is no accusation that he committed any wrongdoing at these parties, despite the later accusations that Diddy was accused of. Many top celebrities attended Diddy's parties throughout the years.
According to The Post, Moore "went to the party at the Louisville Palace hotel, which reportedly boasted themed VIP rooms, craft cocktails, and private concert by Diddy himself until 4 a.m."
Sherrone Moore Has Presented Himself as a Family Man
In addition to gushing praise over his wife, Kelli Moore, on Instagram for special occasions, Moore was recently touted online for being a family man. The Broyles Award posted a photo of Sherrone Moore with one of the three kids he shares with wife Kelli in November. “When Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has free time, he spends it with his family,” the post says.
“Our daughters don’t care about the outcome of the games, they just want daddy to sit down and read them a book when he gets home … and that’s what he does,” he was quoted as saying.
Moore and his wife have been married since 2015.
