Romy Reiner, Ron's Daughter, Shared Moving Family Moments Before Her Parents' Murders

Romy Reiner is one of the three children born to the late Hollywood director Ron Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner. Throughout recent years, and as recently as two weeks before the murders, she shared photos, videos, and comments about her family, mom, and dad.

Horrifically, Romy allegedly discovered the bodies. According to People, Romy called 911 after stumbling on the graphic scene in the family's Brentwood mansion on December 14. Her brother, Nick Reiner, 32, now stands accused of murdering their parents, whose throats were allegedly cut. He had struggled with drug addiction and homelessness for years.

Her website says, “Romy Reiner is an American photographer, artist, and writer.” On December 1, her Instagram post read, in part, "Thankful for family, health, and followers of any age." The photo collage that accompanied the post showed Romy with her parents on a beach vacation.

Romy frequently posted about her dad on her Instagram page. "Happy birthday to my other best friend," she wrote with a post showing him embracing her as a child. She made a similar post about her mom, writing, "Happy birthday to my best friend."

In 2021, she wrote, "Thankful for food, family, and love." That same year, she gushed about her dad for Father's Day, writing, "Happy Father’s Day to the man who I could talk to forever and also the man who I can sit in silence with and be perfectly content. Love you forever. If this day is hard for you, remember that it’s just a Hallmark holiday."

She also shared a series of whimsical videos in which she asked her dad unusual question, such as whether he ever thought he was "hot." Rob Reiner responded, "Never."

She also posted a video in which she asked her dad for career advice while cutting his hair. "Since the nepo thing isn’t working out, I’m asking my dad for some help in another arena… what do you think?" the caption reads. She jokingly asked him whether she should get a Brazilian butt lift.

In 2023, Romy wrote, "I had the pleasure of working as the on set photographer for the documentary Albert Brooks: Defending My Life which comes out on @hbo November 11th."

In 2022, Romy wrote, "I am completely hypersensitive to everything around me. I realize the impact the internet has on me and others. I don’t want to contribute to the narrative that everything is perfect. I am a deeply troubled person with traumas, as I’m sure everyone else is on here. I’m a funny girl, I like to make jokes and point out the ridiculousness of life."

She also shared a series of photos of her parents embracing for their 33rd wedding anniversary. On another anniversary, she wrote, "I am forever grateful to be the result of two incredibly wonderful insane people who have more love than they know how to give. happy anniversary ❤️"

Romy also opened up about trauma online. "In the recent 6 years I have been afflicted by night terrors. Sometimes once a week, sometimes daily. If you experience this, you know too well how hard it is to function the following day," she wrote in 2021.
