“All the Things She Said” was originally released as a single in the United States in 2002, and featured on their debut studio album 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane. It came two years after the 2000 release of the Russian version of the track, called “Ya Soshla s Uma.”
The track stirred up controversy for its depiction of lesbian love in the music video, leading to protests and bans around the world.
Years later, British producer Harrison covered the song and released it in 2022.
Both the original track and the Harrison version were used during a club scene in the fourth episode of the series, “Rose,” as the two main characters Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) dance with women and grapple with keeping each other out of their minds.
Many viewers have pointed out how appropriate the track’s inclusion felt, given the song’s Russian roots (just like character Ilya Rozanov) and the LGBTQ-themed lyrics centered around a taboo romance.
