Boxer Anthony Joshua Injured in Serious Crash Days After Winning Jake Paul Fight

Anthony Joshua is recovering after a serious car crash.

On Monday (December 29), Anthony was traveling in a Lexus Jeep that hit a stationary truck in Makun, per local news reports.

Five men were reportedly in the car that crashed into the truck by the side of the road, officials told BBC.

The Federal Road Safety Corps in Nigeria says the car was “suspected of travelling over the speed limit and crashing while overtaking.”

An eyewitness reported that the passenger next to the driver, and the person sitting next to the boxer, died at the scene, via The Punch.

“We are hoping for his speedy recovery and also the people who passed away – I pray for the departed to rest in peace,” a relative of the boxer said in a statement to BBC.

Just days before, he defeated Jake Paul in a boxing match that sent the influencer to the hospital.

Anthony is among the richest boxers in the world.
