Patriots’ Drake Maye Makes Feelings Clear On Possibly Winning MVP
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has taken the NFL by storm this season and could be the league’s MVP.
Maye is the favorite to win MVP at -330 odds as of Wednesday night via FanDuel. Maye spoke about the possibility of being the league MVP during his Wednesday availability.
“It’s an honor,” Maye said. “I told everybody who said something in the locker room, it’s us. It’s a team deal.”
Maye has thrown for 4,203 yards, 30 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season. But most importantly, Maye has led the Patriots to a 13-3 record and to an AFC East division title.
It’s fantastic to see Maye point out that if he wins the MVP, it will be a team deal, not just an individual award.
Maye has taken great strides in his second NFL season, and it will be interesting to see how he does in the postseason starting next week.
New England still has a shot at securing the No. 1 seed, but it has to beat the Miami Dolphins and hope the Broncos lose to the Chargers. However, Los Angeles recently announced that it won’t start quarterback Justin Herbert, which could pave the way for an easier victory for Denver.
