Confirmed Man United XI vs Leeds: Amorim makes one change to 3-4-2-1, Yoro in & Zirkzee out

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Leeds United at Elland Road.

After sharing points with Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, the Red Devils will be eager to return to winning ways in hostile territory.

The challenge is steepened by the absence of eight senior players, leaving Amorim with little margin for error as he chases all three points.

Among those missing are Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui, all away on international duty.

Amorim has opted for just one change from the previous outing, welcoming Leny Yoro back into the starting line-up.

Senne Lammens retains his starting spot between the sticks.

The goalkeeper has already recorded two clean sheets this season and produced a pair of world-class saves after the break against Wolves to spare United from a damaging defeat.

Yoro slots into a three-man defence alongside Ayden Heaven and Lisandro Martinez, with the Argentine once again entrusted with the captain’s armband.

Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw will operate from the wing-back spots.

It is a new role for Shaw as he has previously featured as a left centre-back under Amorim.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte take up the two midfield spots in the absence of Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo.

Fernandes picked up a hamstring setback in the 2-1 defeat to Villa and has missed the last two clashes.

Mainoo is also sidelined due to a calf problem.

Matheus Cunha and Patrick Dorgu will start behind the striker Benjamin Sesko.

Like Shaw, Dorgu is being asked to adapt, handed a fresh responsibility due to the unavailability of Mbeumo, Diallo and Mason Mount.

Joshua Zirkzee drops to the bench despite finding the net against Wolves.

Confirmed Man United line-up (3-4-2-1): Senne Lammens; Leny Yoro, Ayden Heaven, Lisandro Martinez; Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte; Patrick Dorgu, Matheus Cunha; Benjamin Sesko
