President Trump Makes Huge Announcement on Venezuelan Oil Following Capture of Maduro

President Trump on Tuesday evening announced that Venezuela will give the United States between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil.

Trump said the oil will be sold at market price.

“I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States! I have asked Energy Secretary Chris Wright to execute this plan, immediately,” Trump said.

“It will be taken by storage ships, and brought directly to unloading docks in the United States. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump added.

The Army’s Delta Force captured Maduro early Saturday morning after President Trump ordered military strikes on the South American country.

According to Reuters, Delta Force created an exact replica of Maduro’s safe house and practiced how they would enter and capture him. The CIA had an asset on the ground in Venezuela who infiltrated Maduro’s inner circle.

Maduro was indicted on four counts by a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York.

The grand jury indicted Maduro, his wife, Cilia Flores, and four others on four counts: Narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices.

Trump’s announcement comes as The Wall Street Journal reported that President Trump will be meeting with major US oil companies such as Chevron and Exxon Mobil.

“Representatives of Chevron, the only U.S. oil company active in Venezuela; ConocoPhillips; and Exxon Mobil are expected to attend the meeting, alongside other American oil executives, these people said,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

“The Venezuelan assets of ConocoPhillips and Exxon were nationalized by former President Hugo Chávez in the mid-2000s. A senior White House official previously said Energy Secretary Chris Wright, alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio, would lead an outreach effort to U.S. oil companies,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

On Sunday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US will quarantine Venezuela’s oil until certain favorable conditions are met.
