Freebie of the week: Drop in to a drum circle at LA County Museum of Art

Do you like the sound of a drum? You may wish to check out the drop-in drum circle scheduled Sunday, Jan. 18 at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) to commemorate the 2025 L.A. fires that devastated so many families.

This all-ages event is planned to be held 12:30-3:30 p.m. in the Schmidt Welcome Plaza. You don’t need any experience to join the drum circle. The objective is to create a healing dialogue through sound, movement and expression.

The event is scheduled to be led by Johanna and Ray Louis Auxais of Arts & Healing Initiative, accompanied by their children. Admission is free, but parking in the museum lot costs $23 (ouch!).
