MeitY seeks higher budgetary allocation for its ECMS scheme

Meity is seeking a higher budget for its electronic component manufacturing scheme (ECMS) as industry demand exceeds expectations. The six-year scheme, with staggered funding, aims to boost production, attract investments, and generate over 1.4 lakh direct jobs. So far, 46 projects have been approved, creating tens of thousands of employment opportunities.
