Former Glambot Director Nigel Barker Reveals How Much It Really Costs to Rent for Private Events
The Glambot has been brewing up so much controversy over the past week and now former directors are speaking out.
The Glambot‘s current director Cole Walliser has been under fire after a woman named Yinka Animashaun leaked her emails with him from 2019, in which he appeared to be rude and unprofessional in his replies.
Yinka asked for information on how to book the Glambot for her wedding, but Cole replied by seemingly coming to the conclusion that it was not within the woman’s budget. He eventually revealed it costs $300,000 to book the Glambot.
In an interview with People, Yinka said, “I was preparing for one of the best days of my life, and to this day, his response shocks me. That isn’t how you speak to a potential client or people in general.”
After the leaked emails went viral online, former Glambot director Nigel Barker revealed how much it actually costs to rent it for a private event.

Nigel wrote in an Instagram comment, “I used to be the Glambot director several years ago and I have since booked the camera system on other jobs like for an ALO Yoga campaign. It costs around $25K for basic package in NY or LA. I was the director at the Globes and Grammys.”

Another former director, Joseph Kahn, has also spoken out.
I keep hearing my name and Glambot. Yes I created it back in 2016 for E! The lighting, camera work, lens choices, and methodology are all my design. I ended up having to both operate and win a Grammy at the same time at the Grammys lol. It was too much. It's fun but I'm busy. https://t.co/ex5h78LAEb

I threw glitter in the air on my first iteration. I don't think a lot of the stars liked that but I think it was cool. https://t.co/dyE9zYzSeh

I never really intended it to just be a series of poses though. Even if it's a couple seconds long, tell a story. Let's get to know them.https://t.co/QLW5OtoTwT

I don't shoot Glambot anymore, but I do shoot Super Bowl commercials. I've got two coming up this year. See you three weeks!
