Jett Williams would be one of the pieces going back, according to Pat Raggazo of Sports Illustrated.
Joel Sherman of the New York Post added some more detail to the trade, saying that Tobias Myers would also be coming to New York in the deal and that the Brewers have asked about Brandon Sproat, in addition to Williams, in a Peralta trade.
Peralta is coming off his best season in the big leagues, pitching to 2.70 ERA in 33 starts. The 29-year-old is heading into his last year before free agency and has been one of the most talked-about pitchers to possibly be moved ahead of the upcoming season.
Mets fans may remember Myers from his dominant performance against them in game three of the NLWCS in 2024.
Myers followed up that performance by pitching mostly out of the bullpen in 2025. The 27-year-old pitched to a 3.55 ERA in 50.2 innings.
