Report: Nottingham Forest prepare offer for Inter midfielder Frattesi
Nottingham Forest have stepped up their interest in Davide Frattesi and are preparing a formal offer to Inter for the Italy international, according to reports in Italy.
La Repubblica claim the Premier League side have proposed a loan deal with an option to buy, a formula that has at least opened the door to discussions with the Nerazzurri.
Inter are not closing the door outright, but the operation is far from straightforward and will hinge largely on the player’s own stance.
Frattesi open to Forest switch after struggling for minutes at Inter
Frattesi has found game time hard to come by in Milan and is understood to be evaluating his options, with regular football a key factor as he looks to maintain his place in the national team picture.
Forest believe they can offer him a prominent role in midfield and are trying to move quickly to gain an advantage.
They are not alone, though. Both Atletico Madrid and Lazio have made exploratory contacts to understand the conditions of a potential deal, but Forest currently appear to be leading the race.
Much will depend on whether Inter are convinced by the structure of the proposal and whether Frattesi is open to a move to the Premier League midway through the season.
For now, talks are at an early stage, but Forest’s approach has put the situation firmly in motion.
