John Terry memorabilia auction nets $695K
February 2 – Former England captain and five-time Premier League winner, John Terry, recently consigned more than 50 items from his personal archive to US-based Goldin Auctions, with the sale generating just over $695,000, including buyer’s premium.
Interestingly, the headline lots were not Terry’s own sweaty, battle-ridden shirts, but those he swapped along the way. A match-worn Lionel Messi Barcelona jersey sold for $183,000. A match-worn, photo-matched and signed Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United shirt from a Premier League fixture fetched $115,900,
