Ahmadinejad Named in Newly Released Epstein Files, Report Says

Newly released Epstein case documents cited by BBC Persian mention former Iranian president Ahmadinejad, prompting denials and renewed controversy over alleged meetings.

BBC Persian reported that newly released documents linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case include a reference to former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

According to the report, an email sent in March 2018 by a person identified as Robert Travers claimed Ahmadinejad met Epstein in New York.

The report noted that the exact timing and details of the alleged meeting remain unclear in the released material.

Ahmadinejad’s official media channel, Dolat-e Bahar, denied the claim, while his adviser Ali Akbar Javanfekr called the report fabricated and misleading.

The disclosure comes amid renewed scrutiny over names appearing in Epstein-related documents, which continue to generate political and media debate internationally.

Jeffrey Epstein, a financier accused of trafficking and abusing underage girls, died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial, sparking global investigations and legal disputes.

Periodic releases of court and investigation documents related to Epstein have drawn attention due to the appearance of prominent political, business, and public figures’ names.

The latest report has revived controversy, though denials and lack of verified evidence leave questions surrounding the alleged meeting unresolved for now.
