Jake Gyllenhaal to Star in New Action Thriller Movie 'Kill Switch' for Netflix

Jake Gyllenhaal is heading to Netflix in a new action thriller!

On Tuesday (February 3), it was announced that the 45-year-old Oscar-nominated actor will be starring in the new movie Kill Switch written by Harrison Query.

Keep reading to find out more…As of right now, plot details are being kept under wraps, source told Deadline that the movie is somewhere between Collateral and Sicario.

Along with starring in Kill Switch, Jake will also be producing the movie through his Nine Stories banner with partner Josh McLaughlin. Harrison will be executive producing the movie.

This is now the second project Jake will be working on with Harrison. Back in June 2025, it was announced that Jake will be starring in the political thriller Code Project, which is an adaption of short story by Harrison. You can find out more about the movie here!
