$99 Heli Skiing Returns To Colorado After Public Reaction

Colorado's Silverton Mountain isn't your run-of-the-mill ski resort.

There's one chairlift, and guides are required to lead you around the mountain for most of the season. Oh, and there's a helicopter.

Silverton used to be known for offering individual heli rides for just $99. For less than the cost of a third of a modern lift ticket at a major ski resort, skiers and snowboarders were whisked to 13,000+ feet above sea level and treated to bucket-list-worthy descents.

For whatever reason, perhaps the below-average snow year, Silverton decided to run $99 heli runs back between January 29 and February 1, 2026.

"What stood out was the reaction," states an email from Silverton. "The grins at the bottom. The stoke after each run. The way a single heli run completely changed how people experienced Silverton."

Because of these reactions, Silverton is offering $99 heli rides (a $100 discount) with the purchase of a guided lift ticket (about $250/day) for the remainder of the season. Not too shabby!

This season hasn't been great in terms of snowfall and cold weather, but hopping in a heli and skiing an otherwise unreachable peak is the ultimate experience.

Take advantage of Silverton's $99 deal while you can.
