Waffle House Is Accepting Reservations for Valentine’s Day. Here’s How to Book
As Valentine’s Day looms closer, cheap date aficionados are trading boxes of chocolate for chocolate chip-topped pancakes as Waffle House prepares for what promises to be another busy year on February 14.
For the 18th year in a row, select Waffle House restaurants across the country will get a romantic makeover—complete with ambiance-setting candles and fancy white tablecloths—with a reservations-only Valentine’s Day dinner.
As People reports, more than 200 Waffle Houses across 22 states will flip into romance mode for couples on a budget—or those who just really like waffles.
For fans of the restaurant, the menu won’t look all that different: waffles will, of course, be the star of the menu—though you can opt to have them covered in a pile of chocolate chips shaped like a heart. All-Star Specials, eggs, and the eatery’s signature hash browns, served up in whichever way you choose, will also be available.
Each restaurant will have its own special loving twists, from romantic tunes to rose-covered tables. But scoring a reservation is key.
How Do I Make a Reservation at Waffle House for Valentine’s Day?
While getting a reservation isn’t guaranteed—in some locations, they fill up quickly—the process for getting one is simple: Simply log onto the Valentine’s Day reservation page on the Waffle House website, and find out if the location near you still has availability.
But don’t dilly dally! Men’s Journal checked availability at several random restaurants across the country and found that tables were sold out at locations in Bentonville, Arkansas; Colorado Springs, CO; Charleston, South Carolina; Naples, Florida; and Atlanta, Georgia.
“This year marks Waffle House’s 18th year of offering our special Valentine’s Dinner event,” a Waffle House spokesperson told People of the now-annual event. “We are excited to have 218 Waffle House locations participate this year.”
