Joe Manganiello's Fiancée Caitlin O'Connor Says They Left L.A. Due to 'Crime' & 1 Other Reason

Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O’Connor made a move partly because of crime, according to a new interview.

The 36-year-old actress and fiancée of the 49-year-old Magic Mike actor got more candid about the reason for their move from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh, where they’re both originally from.

“Pittsburgh is the perfect place to start fresh,” she told Fox News.

“All of our neighbors are so nice, generous and helpful. In a big city, you don’t have that kind of community that we have here.”

The couple ultimately settled on Mt. Lebanon, Penn., which is “just about an hour away” from where she grew up in Uniontown, Penn.

She added there were two big reasons that inspired their move.

One is that “the crime in Los Angeles is at an all-time high.”

“We were thinking about it for a long time, and the right house happened to come up. We went to look at it in Pittsburgh, and it was perfect for us,” she added.

The second reason is that “L.A. is no longer the entertainment capital of the world.”

“For the most part, everything is on Zoom. A lot of premieres happen in New York. There are studios being built in New Jersey, and things are moving overseas. Many projects are being filmed overseas, even by professionals who have worked in L.A. on set their whole lives. The industry has moved. It’s no longer there,” she said.
