How Tottenham have fared in their last ten 12:30 kick-offs as Man United clash awaits

Tottenham will be looking to get their first league win of 2026 this weekend when they take on Man United, but will the early kick-off curse strike?

It’s been a tough year for Spurs fans, but recent progress in the Champions League and a rousing comeback against Man City last weekend have offered some hope.

Still, with Man United in good form under Michael Carrick, it’ll take something special for the Lilywhites to get a positive result at Old Trafford this weekend.

The two teams meet in the early kick-off on Saturday, but if you’re planning to watch Man United vs Spurs, you might want to check out how the North Londoners have fared in recent years in the 12:30 timeslot.

Tottenham’s record in 12:30 kick-offs

Spurs 2-2 Man United (08/11/25)

Interestingly, Tottenham’s last early kick-off came against Man United and it continued a positive unbeaten run in the 12:30 games this season. It was a thrilling game, and one Spurs really should have won.

The Lilywhites were trailing after Bryan Mbeumo gave the Red Devils the lead after half an hour. In dramatic fashion, Spurs stole ahead late in the day with goals from Mathys Tel and a 92nd-minute strike from Richarlison. However, United equalised shortly after to share the points in frustrating circumstances.

Leeds 1-2 Spurs (04/10/25)

Tottenham’s impressive record continued with an away win against Leeds United back in October. Mathys Tel got things moving halfway through the first half, but the Yorkshire outfit equalised just before the break. Thankfully, Mohammed Kudus came up with the winner ten minutes into the second half.

Man City 0-2 Spurs (16/08/25)

A bright start to Thomas Frank’s time at Spurs saw him mastermind a 2-0 win away at Man City. Brennan Johnson got things up and running after 35 minutes, and then Joao Palhinha doubled the Lilywhites’ lead in the second half.

Spurs 1-2 Newcastle (04/01/25)

Another defeat at the hands of Newcastle could all have been so different if Spurs had just kept their cool and focus. Dominic Solanke gave the Lilywhites the lead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after just four minutes but Anthony Gordon levelled things up two minutes later. Alexander Isak won the game for the visitors just before half-time.

Spurs 4-1 West Ham (19/10/24)

Tottenham’s most resounding win in recent 12:30 kick-offs came at home to West Ham. Ironically, Mohammed Kudus had given the Hammers the lead after 18 minutes, but Dejan Kulusevski equalised before half-time. In the second half, Spurs scored three in eight minutes to seal the win, with Yves Bissouma and Heung-min Son goals coming either side of an own goal.

Newcastle 4-0 Spurs (13/04/24)

It’s safe to say Tottenham do not enjoy playing Newcastle. This massive defeat in April 2024 included an Alexander Isak double, an Anthony Gordon goal, and a late Fabian Schar strike to complete the rout. No one came out of this game covered in glory, but Micky van de Ven in particular was made to look foolish by the Magpies.

Everton 2-2 Spurs (03/02/24)

Richarlison came back to Goodison Park to haunt his former team with two goals against Everton in this lunchtime kick-off almost exactly two years ago. Sadly, a late Jarrad Branthwaite goal rescued a point for the Toffees.

Wolves 2-1 Spurs (11/11/23)

A disastrous trip to Molineux in November 2023 saw Spurs take the lead after just three minutes through Brennan Johnson. However, the Lilywhites collapsed late on, with a 91st-minute goal from Pablo Sarabia levelling up the game, before Mario Lemina stole all three points in the seventh minute of injury time.

Luton 0-1 Spurs (07/10/23)

Tottenham continued their brilliant run under Postecoglou in the 2023/24 campaign with a narrow win over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road. It was a well-worked Micky van de Ven goal that sealed the victory after a fine assist from James Maddison.

Bournemouth 0-2 Spurs (26/08/23)

Early on in the Ange Postecoglou era, Spurs triumphed 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium. A goal after just 17 minutes from Maddison gave the away side the lead, before Dejan Kulusevski wrapped up the win just after the hour-mark.
