Tom Brady's Former New England Patriots Teammates Slam His No 'Dog in the Fight' Comment Ahead of Super Bowl 2026: 'Flaw A-- Brady'

Tom Brady shared his thoughts on the 2026 Super Bowl recently and some of his former teammates aren’t happy.

The retired quarterback ruffled some feathers when he said he wouldn’t be rooting for the New England Patriots, his team of 20 seasons, during this year’s big game against the Seattle Seahawks.

In response, former cornerback Asante Samuel and defensive tackle Vince Wilfork are sharing their opinions.

“That’s bullcrap, Tom. Come on, now. All that political — this ain’t political. It ain’t political, what it is. Haters ain’t in it. Say what it is, what you see,” Vince said on WEEI sports radio earlier this week.

Asante expressed his disappointment on X, posting, “Brady you can’t be the only one winning super bowls. Let me find out you hating on Drake Maye and Vrabel. ‘I don’t have a dog in this fight.’”

“Not what I wanted to hear. Brady knows how I get down. This ain’t nothing new to him,” he concluded.

Asante posted several follow-ups, calling the former NFL player “Flaw A– Brady” and saying he has “23 hrs to respond or it’s up,” he continued, “I’m going ape s–t about who you are.”

The pushback started when Tom said, “I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one,” during a recent episode of his podcast.

He added, “May the best team win. And in terms of the Patriots, this is a new chapter in New England and I’m glad everyone’s embraced the Mike Vrabel regime.”

Tom also recently shared what actor he would want to play him in a possible biopic.
