NFL Legend Terry Bradshaw Shares Big Announcement
Legendary NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw won four Super Bowl titles with the Pittsburgh Steelers during his Hall of Fame career.
After his playing days were over, he traded in a football for a microphone where he became a fan-favorite as an analyst. In recent years, though, there have been calls for the longtime quarterback to put down the mic and call it a career.
Ahead of a the latest Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, though, Bradshaw made it clear he's not leaving just yet.
“I told my wife before I left the room a while ago — I was sitting there and I said, ‘I got two years left at Fox. I'm 76. It's a young man's game, I get that. Everybody wants the new thing,’” he said. “So I said if we can get to the next Super Bowl, I'll be 80. I think that's time and that's 80 years old and that's pushing it.”
If he does want to step down, though, he's already taking over one business.
Bradshaw Bourbon Wins Big
The Steelers legend created a bourbon brand that's already making its mark on the industry. Earlier this week his Kentucky Single Barrel Straight Bourbon was award best in class bourbon and earned a double gold medal at the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America’s annual tasting competition.
Forbes' Joseph Micallef detailed the big winner.
"The bourbon is rich and powerful with pronounced barrel-driven flavors of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, cinnamon, and clove. As it opens, darker notes of cocoa, roasted pecan, and a faint edge of leather and dried tobacco emerge, along with a touch of orange zest," he wrote.
"It’s full-bodied and mouth-coating on the palate, with a viscous, oily texture typical of higher-proof single barrels. There’s a firm tannic grip that adds structure and carry across the mid-palate, balanced by a round sweetness that keeps it from feeling sharp."
But the single barrel wasn't Bradshaw's only win as his Kentucky Straight Bourbon also took home a gold medal at the competition. In an Instagram story the former star quarterback shared the news with his fans.
Bradshaw also recently announced his new 6- and 12-year signature select bourbons.
If he decides to hang up the mic, Bradshaw already has quite the cache in the bourbon business.
