Industry body says GST reducing drivers' net earnings; to approach FinMin to re-look at tax structure

Online ride-hailing platforms face challenges with current GST rules. The Internet and Mobile Association of India, IAMAI, has written to the Finance Ministry. They state that the 5 perc ent GST on every ride booked through apps reduces driver earnings. This impacts both private aggregators and government-supported platforms.
