Bad Bunny Returning to WWE 'Sooner Rather Than Later' After Super Bowl

There's no rest for rapper Bad Bunny after Super Bowl LX — at least, according to insiders at WWE.

Wrestler-turned-trainer-turned-journalist Bryan Alvarez discussed the Grammy winner's future with WWE on Friday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Live podcast during a conversation with 14-time champion Lance Storm

“Bad Bunny is going to end up back in WWE very soon. Sooner rather than later, everybody, just so you all know," Bryan said to fans during the discussion.

The conversation was sparked by U.S. Junior Senator for Arizona, Ruben Gallego, appealing to rival company AEW to sweep up the star once the Super Bowl was over.

"@TonyKhan it’s time for @AEW to solidify a huge fan base. @sanbenito love wrestling, need him to make some appearances. Just no stretcher match please," Gallego wrote on Twitter/X on Friday.

Currently, Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is rumored to be preparing to make a potential guest appearance on WrestleMania 42 this April. Previously, Benito referred to himself as "the best celebrity wrestler ever," having first appeared on Royal Rumble back in 2021, with acclaim from critics and audiences over his work in the pay-per-view event.

His last appearance was in his home country of Puerto Rico, where he was met with rapturous applause from fans. He fought against Damian Priest in a street fight, surprising fans and professionals alike by getting into a pretty gnarly altercation with Priest — especially by celebrity standards.

In 2024, WWE A-lister Dominik Mysterio said he had "unfinished business" with Bunny. The two faced off during Wrestlemania 39, due to the star siding with Dominik's father-turned-nemesis Rey Mysterio, but it was Damian who put the rapper through a table and got the last laugh.

“I know Bad Bunny did his thing with Damian in PR, I know he got involved in my match last year. He’s done a lot for the culture and what not, but at the end of the day, Damian said it — you’re a singer, dude," Dominik teased. "Stay in your lane. This is our world here, Judgment Day takes over here. As far as unfinished business goes, if he’s more than willing to get in my face again, I’m down to throw down if you know what I’m talking about.''
