National Consumer Commission monitoring ButtaNutt peanut butter recall
Regulator the National Consumer Commission (NCC) is monitoring the recall process for certain peanut butter products from peanut butter manufacturer ButtaNutt owing to higher-than-legally-acceptable levels of aflatoxin detected in the products. The affected products, which were manufactured on January 15, failed to meet the quality standards as set out under the Department of Health’s regulation governing the tolerance of fungus-produced toxins in foodstuffs.
