UPDATE: Democrats Still Suck at Pretending To Cook Meat on a Grill

It happened again. Another Democratic politician posed for a photo while attempting to cook meat on a grill. This time it was Gov. Abigail Spanberger (D., Va.) who tried to look normal by grilling a substance some claim was intended to represent "beef." The governor posted a photo of herself on X along with the caption "Order up!" and a steak emoji. Many remarked upon the hideous appearance of the alleged meat, as well as the deranged grin on Spanberger's face—the manic visage of an overmedicated wine mom about to mow down a rival's goldendoodle with her luxury SUV.

It was a disastrous grill-related performance from the Democrats, but hardly the first. Democratic politicians have a long history of trying and failing to relate to normal Americans by pretending to do normal American things. For whatever reason, grilling meat has proved to be an especially precarious task. Attempting it has repeatedly exposed Democrats as the out-of-touch pampered elites that they are.

Chuck Schumer was ruthlessly mocked for raw-dogging some patties on Father's Day 2024 while also grinning like a maniac. In a social media post he eventually deleted out of shame, the 75-year-old Democrat said it was his "first time" having a barbecue "on the grill."

Kamala Harris looked almost as uncomfortable handling meat—at an Iowa steak fry in 2020—as she did years later when Lester Holt asked her why she hadn't been to the border. These photos were taken several months after Harris—for the first time in her career, as far as we know—claimed to have worked at McDonald's. There is still no evidence to support this claim. In any event, her primary campaign was so bad she had to drop out before the Iowa caucuses.

Joe Biden was just 76 years old when this photo was taken. It's still terrifying.

Pete Buttigieg looked bewildered and out of place—like a black man at a Pete Buttigieg rally.

Amy Klobuchar exuded joy as she imagined herself savoring the smell of burning flesh while watching her entire staff of worthless ingrates get the punishment they deserved for letting her down again.
