Telangana municipal polls: Defeated candidates allegedly demand return of cash, gifts from voters

Defeated candidates in Telangana are reportedly demanding the return of cash and gifts distributed during the municipal election campaign. Clashes have surfaced in several districts as candidates approach voters after losing. Some candidates had allegedly distributed money and household items before the February 11 polling. Residents, however, state they did not ask for these items and find the demand unreasonable.
