Shia LaBeouf to Remain Free on $100,000 Bail After New Orleans Arrest, Ordered to Seek Drug & Alcohol Treatment

Shia LaBeouf is able to remain free following his recent arrest.

Last week, the 39-year-old Transformers actor was arrested and charged with two counts of battery following a fight outside of a bar with two men in New Orleans while in town for Mardi Gras. One of the men also claimed that Shia hurled homophobic slurs at him.

On Thursday (February 26), Shia appeared in court for a hearing where Parish Judge Simone Levine set his bail at $100,000.

Keep reading to find out more…Under the condition of his release, the judge ordered that Shia enroll in substance abuse treatment and undergo a drug testing program, according to The Guardian.

“Clearly you don’t take your alcohol problems seriously,” the judge told him. “Please take charge.”

Shia was also told that he cannot leave New Orleans until his trial and the judge denied the actor’s written request to travel to Rome for a week in March for “religious observations,” including his father’s baptism.

Following news of his arrest, it was revealed that Shia and wife Mia Goth very quietly split in 2025 after nine years of marriage.
